This basket has a definite corn candy, Halloween look. Hand coiled with orange & black fabrics, one of the materials even has a candy corn print. And, the black fabrics shimmer silver. The slightly tapered bowl shaped basket measures 12 inches round (diameter) at its opening & it sits 4.5 inches high. It is a generous size for use as a centerpiece on any dining room or kitchen table. Display it as your Halloween treat bowl or it also makes a terrific autumn housewarming gift. I have photographed it with some actual trick or treat candy so you can more easily visualize the size. My baskets are made by the coiling method of basketry. Strips of fabric (both new & recycled) are wrapped around an inner cording as the shape is formed. The inner cording makes these baskets sturdier than other fabric, felted or crocheted items.
