Description
This interesting carved wood panel features 2 figures approaching a 3rd figure on a balcony. The piece has a red stain/lacquer on the front of it & layers of sediment in its crevices that add its aged appearance. The edges of the back are beveled. The piece has minor faults including some damage to the pineapple-shaped fruit behind the figure on the balcony, a long, shallow chip on the end of the roof, & a through-and-through hole behind the two figures on the ground to the right of the frame. The piece looks as if it was removed from a piece of furniture or door, but could be propped up behind other objects as background colour in a display, or a picture hanger could easily be attached to the back to hang on a wall. 10.5 inches X 11 inches. 0.75 inches at its thickest.
