This is a lovely silver plate bottle coaster by Kirby Beard & Co, Circa 1930s. It is in lovely condition for its age, although the inside of the coaster has some pitting & staining. Stamped on the bottom with Kirby, Beard & Co. Kirby, Beard & Co was one of the coolest department stores you could go to in Paris, if not in the world. Not bad for a company, which started in 1743 as a pin maker. Some 80 years later, the curation of the goods offered still impresses; this store truly provided everything you needed for a refined life. Most of the items actually came without branding; the customers simply trusted the good taste & quality of the selections, for a gift you will never regret as one of Kirby's tag-lines read. This is a rather rare & lovely item & would make a fabulous, luxury gift. Vintage items & antiques will often show signs of wear or age & I will always try to list any flaws or marks honestly.
