Peter I am offering this lovely set of 4 French soup, salad or pasta bowls purchased recently from a brocante here in southern France. They are ceramic & were made by Digoin in the 1940s/50s. They have a pretty design of red roses with grey/blue foliage in the centre with a checked border in grey/blue with a scalloped edge. This charming design is called Bastia & I will be offering other pieces from this range. Diameter - 9, 23 cms Depth - 1.4, 3.5 cms Combined weight - 3.2 lbs or 1.44 kgs Condition - Very good with light signs of age & use. These 4 bowls haver never been used but there are a couple of small chips to the back of two with an odd flaw - last image - & flea bites to rims.
