All of our furniture is lovingly handmade at our workshop in Bath. We use reclaimed scaffold boards from a local supplier & high quality carbon steel hairpin legs. Once we have taken the order for your chosen piece we set to work carefully sawing, planing, gluing, sanding, staining & waxing. After your furniture passes our thorough quality control checks we securely package & ship to you, making sure to keep you updated from start to finish. We take real pride in making beautiful furniture for you to live & work around for years to come. Wood & finishes: Old scaffold boards are great to use to build tables with as they are strong & have lots of character; We love the marks, dents, holes, knots & splits. To seal the wood, provide durability & for a rich colour we use three coats of Fiddes Hard Wax Oil. We then apply a high quality blended wax polish & buff to give a gentle satin sheen. Size & height options: Tabletops are on average 3cm thick but as each item is individually handmade all sizes are approximate, we offer: 40cm x 60cm 40cm x 80cm 40cm x 100cm 60cm x 60cm 60cm x 80cm 60cm x 100cm 60cm x 120cm Custom sizes are available & we also make matching side tables, bedside tables, dining tables, desks & shelves. Our hairpin legs are very strong, sturdy & come with clip-on protector feet to reduce slippage on smooth floors, we offer: 25cm 2-Rod legs 40cm 2-Rod legs 40cm 3-Rod legs We stock hairpin legs in the following colours: Raw Steel: 100% natural & bare. It will rust, even indoors, but it's perfect if you want to paint the legs yourself or go for a weathered look. Clear Coat: Creates industrial, raw steel look but without rusting. The clear powder coat provides an almost transparent, protective layer & adds a slight sheen. Black: The black powder coat provides a protective layer against rust & gives extra visual contrast to really make the table top stand out. Assembly: We post our tables with the legs unattached. Assembly is very simple with instructions & all necessary fittings provided. On the underside of each table we mark out the positions of the hairpin legs & pre-drill small holes, so all that is required is a screwdriver & a few minutes of your time.
