This solid hardwood mosaic wall art uses a combination of maple, cherry, walnut, oak, mahogany, & purpleheart to create art with an elegant modern flair suitable for any room in a house. Each item will generally include all six of the hardwoods. Each piece is unique in its combination of sizes & distribution of woods. Starting with lumber in the rough, each piece is cut, sanded, & ultimately finished by hand with a clear oil allowing the wood's natural color & grain pattern to emerge. Once the oil has been applied, a coating of wax is hand rubbed to provide an additional layer of protection. Hanging hardware are rubber bumpers to protect the wall are already attached to the back of the item - all you need to have is a wall hook or hanger. Because the item is relatively light it shouldn't be necessary to hang it on a wall stud giving you more flexibility as to its placement. The images of this hardwood mosaic art are typical of the product. Because it is made with natural materials, variations in color among the individual wood pieces are to be expected. Also, subtle changes in color over time may occur. Three sizes are offered.
