The Maeshowe dragon is one of the most identifiable symbols from Orkney's past. It was originally carved onto the walls of the great Neolithic monument Maeshowe by Viking invaders. This modern, handmade sculpture would be a truly stunning piece for all indoor living spaces & will brighten up any area of the home. The perfect balance of wall art & sculpture make the pieces tactile, textured & catch the light beautifully. They have a felt back with a wire loop secured for hanging on the wall, but equally look great standing on a shelf or unit. Hand sculpted in clay then cast in Herculite No2 from a mould, which picks up every detail. Then lovingly hand painted to a high standard which ensures every one is unique. The wall art is then spray finished with a crystal clear matt top coat for protection & durability.
