Rustic industrial style desk - perfect for the home office! A recent bespoke order from a customer, we are now pleased to be able to offer this desk for sale here on Etsy. This desk is crafted from reused scaffold boards. Scaffold boards are most often pine, or similar whitewood, & at a hefty 4cm thick, give an excellent & solid wood base -ideal for your home office needs, & guaranteed to stand the test of time. This desk is sturdy & utilitarian, & finished with a dark oak wax finish (other finishes available on request). It will stand up to a good deal of day to day wear & tear. Build-in underslung shelf is designed to house a large volume of files, stationary, a laptop & keyboard - a host of bits & bobs - safely out of the way, to keep your working surface free of clutter! The edges are finished with a rough edged 45 degree chamfer to give a more unique & uprated style. Sturdy high end metal hairpin legs give the desk a rugged utilitarian modern feel, & good rigidity to hold the unit firm during use. Legs are supplied with base protectors for use with hard floors or carpets if desired, to avoid scratches & damage. The desk has been finished with stain & wax blends to give a beautiful aged appearance of old oak. The desk has been handcrafted in an open-air workshop in the New Forest, UK & because each of our units is made to order - We are happy to take modified dimensions or other additions to the pictured desk. Our customers often have specific requests which we are more than happy to accommodate - as each unit is built to order its no extra trouble for us to make any tweaks or changes to suit your exact needs. We can change any aspect of length, width size of the desk top or the shelf unit for no additional costs. It will not be perfectly smooth, perfectly planed, but it will be beautifully & carefully finished so that you can have years of use from it, safe in the knowledge that you have done your bit for preventing good materials going to waste.
