This vase is part of an experiment to see how mercury glass finish renders on different types of my hand-blown glass vessels. I first made this vase with a mix of transparent purples, blues & pinks. I then did a mercury glass technique to give it a mirrored finish. I love how the silver exposes swirls of colors & makes them even more vivid. The outside finish is sliver, while the inside has a gold jue. This vase measures approximately 7.25 inches high, 4 inches around at the widest point, & weighs 15.8 ounces. The opening measures approximately 2.75 inches (inside measurement). This vase has air bubbles which is common with hand-blown glass. The glass is NOT food-safe & should not be used to hold any liquids. And, the mercury glass finish can chip off with liquids & heavy wear or handling. I want you to be thrilled with your purchase.
