UKIYO-E JAPANESE WOODBLOCK FRAMED ART PRINT Under the well of the great wave off Kanagawa (Kanagawa oki nami ura ), ca. 1829-1833 by Katsushika Hokusai, from the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series, 1858. One of the most recognisable pieces of Japanese art in the world. The tension of the fast boats, the colours, the great wave itself, framing Mount Fuji in a yin yang-like curve - all come together in one stunning composition. Reproduced from an archive image, respectfully & lovingly restored & enhanced digitally, to remove the non-artistic blemishes & colour fading. FRAMED A2 print (42cm x 59.4cm).
