About the Bird Series This past summer a pair of Carolina Wrens nested right off my porch, successfully raising two young fledglings. Inspired by their endless, ear-splitting song, I picked up my binoculars, bird guide, & folding chair to seek out my other winged neighbors. & thus begun my journey as a birder. I soon became interested in studying the form of birds through digital illustration. My end goal was to create & design a Backyard Birds of New England poster. As I grew more passionate about birding, the scope of my project expanded beyond New England, & even the United States. The end result - an ongoing series of over 60 birds that explores line, form, & color. Happy Birding!
