Antique textile sample, Victorian curtain fabric trade sample, antique textile wall art, original Victorian wall art This is a stunning piece of Victorian history. It's a trade sample textile design perhaps for a set of curtains. It still carries its original sampler card which shows the registered design number, although it looks like to the last digit is missing. The card reads 'This may only be sold in provinces or abroad. It is confined to one house for London.' So a very exclusive piece fabric. It's well preserved & the colours are still vibrant as you can see in the photos. It measures approximately 31 cm in length & 13.5 cm wide. A lovely collectable piece, it would look fantastic framed & displayed as a piece of Victorian wall art.
