Size: 113 x 208 cm / 3'7 x 6'8 Tulu Rugs are the most utilitarian rustic rugs of Anatolia. Most of the time they are plain with long pile ( Tulu is long pile - hairy ) of sheep's wool or goat hair ( angora). They are probably the earliest imitations for of the animal skin look . Since most have been used daily , not many examples survived. They were used as sleeping rugs, prayer mats , coverlets etc.. The being sop lain makes them pretty attractive since they are not employing the design elements of elaborate traditional rugs.
