Stunning 1900s Mary Card’s Woodlander Panel fronting a (chart no 70) Pillow Slip or Cushion Case which is Reversible & adaptable between the boudoir & the lounge/dressing room, as the quilted patchwork & appliqué design is on one side whilst the reverse is a stunning hand crocheted two coloured lace panel depicting a stunning forest scene with roe deer & squirrels. The case is fully lined in a peach linen & has a vivid green silk tassel edging, gorgeous! The lining is a hand loomed linen, this is in the most lovely condition & is without any damage. This is quite a rare item, as usually the crochet work is in one colour, this work is in two colours, the silk fringe has been colour matched too. Overall, this is one of the most gorgeous vintage pieces of interior soft furnishings I have seen in a long time & it’s in the most stunning condition. Originally this item originated in Northern Europe before the owner came to the north of England.
