Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, walnut extra $550). These are very popular & durable woods for high quality furniture. Click the wood choice box above to select your wood. No veneers on compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species. The bed in the photos is made with cherry wood finished with tung oil. Extra cost options are billed separately. Click Bed Size above to select your size. The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $80, you can choose from a wide range of colors of dye. The photos show cherry finished with tung oil with no color added. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The queen & larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5. Straight bed posts are standard with taper at bottom to about 1.5x1.5 inches with about 2.8 x 2.8 inch mid section plus adjustable bottoms for uneven floors. Approximate standard dimensions are: Height from floor to top of sides = 16 Height from floor to mattress bottom = 15 Height from floor to bottom of sides or ends = 8 Length of queen or king size bed = 87 Length of outside of bed more than mattress length = 7 Width of outside of bed more than mattress width = 6 I will be pleased to modify dimensions to meet your needs. The bed is shipped in pieces that lay flat in the box. This enables better protection of the product & lower shipping costs. The assembly based on detailed instructions is performed by the buyer.
