For the holidays, I wanted to make my favorite Christmas songs into ornaments. I first learned this one for a Christmas concert, & as I stood on my riser (for the short kids), I was struck by how solemn it was. This could hang on your tree or anywhere, really. It would also be nice as a hang tag on a present, or even slipped around a bottle of champagne? This is hand embroidered, with fresh bright green cotton embroidery thread on a light green cotton woven background. My own lettering reads thy leaves are on the front, & so unchanging on the back, both in back stitch. There are lots of straight stitches for tree needles embroidered on the front & back. It hangs from bright red needlepoint thread that has been braided together. It is stuffed with polyfill, & feels bouncy. It measures approximately 3.5 inches across its widest part & 3.75 inches along its length. It is approximately .75 of an inch thick. Not recommended for rough play or children under 3. Spot clean.
