Aluminium disc Measures: 30mm Aluminium key chains - aluminium is a fabulous LIGHT WEIGHT metal - it's 100% pure which means it's HYPOALLERGENIC & doesn't tarnish either! I choose aluminium to work with because of its weight mainly, as most of what I design & make are key rings, my products tend to be displayed on car keys. The last thing I want to happen is the barrel of your car getting damaged because the key rings on your car key is too heavy! That's why I love aluminium ❤️ Aluminium is also corrosive resistant. It's natural oxide coating provides an effective protective barrier against elements that wear other metals. I can't stamp the backs, as stamping displaces metal & not removes it (as engraving would) so the displacement leaves small markings on the back, & although I do sand & polish the backs down, if I then stamped the backs the marks would show on the front, & then it ruins the piece I think, so I try not to offer this What is hand stamping? Hand stamping is a way of making an imprint onto various types of metal. It's done completely by hand, & no machinery is used at all, because of this there may be slight variations to every item I create, be it by the depth of the impressions or the placement of the letters & design stamps. So how do I do it? I basically hold a metal stamp (at the end of the stamp is a letter, or a picture, or a shape), & I place this stamp on to the metal I'm working on (letter side touching the metal) & smash it hard with a big hammer. This leaves the impression on the metal. I then pick up another stamp & repeat the process, again & again until the item is made. Once all the letters are stamped, I drill a hole, file the backs, sand the edges, ink the letters & fix any attachments in place. Et Voila. Your item is made ❤️ All UK orders are sent via Royal Mail 1st class signed for postage - due to the pandemic Royal Mail are using an inbuilt GPS system, & mark their device as signed when they post the item through the door, you won't be asked to "sign for" your item. All international orders are sent via Royal Mail international tracked postage.
