This small lamp, inspired by Victorian-era student lamps, is handmade & built-to-order just for you in our Arizona studio. Its small size makes it a perfect bedside lamp or tucked in on a bookshelf. It features a heavy Italian-made cast brass square base & an opal glass shade. The hardware is solid unlacquered brass, a living raw metal which will continue to patina beautifully over time. The 8-foot cord is brown fabric wrapped twisted cording fitted with an antique style Type A North American plug & an inline on/off switch installed about 2 feet from the bulb socket. As with all of our made-to-order models, this lamp is customizable; if you need a different height, other color options for the glass shade, different cord length/color, metal finish, socket style, want to swap hardware, etc. just reach out! Current lead time for made-to-order lamps is 2-3 weeks. Lamp measures about 10 inches tall (measured from the base to the top of the glass shade) & both the shade & base are about 6 inches wide 8-foot brown fabric wrapped twisted cord fitted with antique style Type A North American plug. On/off switch installed on cord The 1-way standard E26 socket is rated for bulbs up to 250 watts, though a lower wattage LED bulb is recommended. As such, we don't necessarily want our made-to-order styles to look brand new - that's just our style & an intentional design choice. Our preferred metal finish is raw, unlacquered brass, chosen for its wabi-sabi & time-worn characteristics. Unlaqcuered brass is a living metal that has not been chemically treated, polished or buffed & will patina beautifully over time; it will also show wear, imperfections from casting, as well as scuffs & scratches from the manufacturing process. If rough around the edges & is this new or 75 years old? is not your style, we can make something in a different finish just for you, such as polished brass, satin nickel, polished copper, etc. Lots of options - please reach out about something custom! ~ A few more words about colors ~ Colors are very likely to look different on your screen than they do in real life. Such is the nature of buying things online. We use a pretty solid DSLR camera & do not color edit photos but a lamp & shade will absolutely look different in our Arizona summer sunlit studio - our lampshades even look different from morning to afternoon as the sun moves - than wherever you might be.
