This listing is for a packaged set of five white hanging pine cone decorations, each threaded with chocolate brown ribbon for hanging, handmade in Australia by Emily Engel. Please see the text at the end of this listing for a note about shipping weights versus shipping costs. These pine cones (and my gum nuts, which depending on availability you may also find in my store) featured on the cover of the Christmas 2016 Australian Country Style magazine, as pictured. They are made from white plaster, & they're cast in a mould I made using a real pine cone that once belonged to my grandmother, Greta, who made a wonderful collection of seedpods during her travels around Australia in the 1980s. Please note that you may see there's some gum nuts in some of the photos - this listing is for pine cones only. The plaster I use is a high-quality fine casting plaster. These pine cones are not unbreakable, but are pretty robust. They are just over 6cm long (that's about 2.4in) - allow extra for the ribbon. They weigh about 30g (1oz) each so are suitable for all but the most fine of Christmas trees. The hanging ribbon is attached to a metal ring securely glued into a hole on the top. Please note that due to the nature of plaster & the casting process, small bubbles & irregularities in the surface are quite normal, & don't detract from the overall look of the items.
