The centerpiece of this collection is a one-of-a-kind wall hanging made from an exquisite vintage Japanese silk kimono featuring a beautiful princess from the Heian period. Recognizable by her long, flowing hair & twelve layers of kimono, the intricately detailed princess is nestled against a printed shibori & gold-stamped bundle of ribbons (noshi). This listing is for one of a limited-edition of four coordinating pillow covers made from the same kimono depicting various royal accoutrements such as a traveling cart, flutes & fans. in this pillow cover, a golden flower embellished folding fan is set against shibori printed & gold stamped ribbon motifs. The piece is backed in a solid forest green silk from the same kimono, fully lined in cotton fabric & finished with a hidden zipper at the bottom. Hand made in the USA. Measures 13 x 25 & fits a 14 x 26 feather insert. Dry clean only. A matching bolster pillow cover made from the same kimono is also available through this listing, as well as two coordinating square pillows, listed separately.
