Vintage Beautiful High Quality Danish 1970s/80s Floor Lamp High quality satin/polished steel & aluminium floor lamp with 2 fully directional lights. Has brushed aluminium shades inside perspex / plexi glass. We see a lot of vintage Danish floor lamps but very rarely find one of sufficient style & quality that we choose to buy it. This high quality, ultra cool steel lamp was an exception. Made in Denmark in the 1970s/80s. Approximately 140cm high. The circular base is 23cm wide. The tubular lamp holders are 22cm long & 5cm wide, they project from the pole a minimum of 14cm (more depending on the angle they are tilted). We don't know who made this but we wouldn't be surprised to learn it was one of the very high end mid century lighting companies, it is certainly of the same quality as the high quality commercial lighting made by Louis Poulsen in the era. (My father was an electrician in Denmark in the 1970s so is very familiar with the lighting of the era). The lamp is heavy & solid. The weighted base & light shades are brushed metal which we believe to be aluminium. The pole & rods that connect the shades to the pole are chromed steel. There are push switches on each light fitting. The solid steel mechanisms/fixings are superb quality. The attractive perspex detailing is a nice touch that makes this lamp a step up in styling terms from similar designs. Very good vintage condition with minor signs of age, particularly scuffing to the base. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Full working condition. Takes 2 E14 SES lightbulbs, maximum 40w. Because the tubular shades are around 5cm wide you will need to use narrow light bulbs like ST58 shaped. We will put a UK plug on it (unless sent overseas).
