Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp This is a rare vintage Danish lamp, with a very beautiful glaze Medium/large table lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s Features a glossy warm amber glaze with shimmering purple, yellow & light blue highlights. The lower half of the lamp features a beautiful & striking textured design that resembles grass. Model number 1040, part of the Manila Grass series designed by Svend Aage Jensen for Soholm Stentoj (Pottery). Handmade in Denmark by Soholm in the 1960s/70s. Has manufacturer's details & model number etched on its base. 30cm high including the original bakelite lamp holder & 11cm wide at the base. Excellent fully working vintage condition with only very minor signs of age. Because it hasn't been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, white, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange & old gold. It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable retaining the original lamp holder if practicable. We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ plug or American plug. It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs. Note that we have attempted to show & state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item & some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage. Handmade items may have manufacturing imperfections such as bubbles in glass or glazing marks in ceramics which add to the uniqueness of each item.
