Vintage Riihimaki Finnish Yellow Glass Vase 1960s 1970s Model number 1516. Beautiful honeyed yellow glass in a cool, space age hooped design. Designed by Tamara Aladin in 1973. Handmade in Riihimaki, Finland between 1973 & 1976. 20cm tall. Part of the Tulppaani (Tulip) series. There were a few variants & this is probably the most sought after because of its funky, space age shape which is very evocative of the atomic era. Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age. The last photos show it with other vases, available for separate purchase. Note that we have attempted to show & state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item & some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. Handmade items may have manufacturing imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness & charm.
