Vintage Holmegaard Pink Glass Danish Table Lamp. Medium sized unusual, rare & very beautiful pink glass lamp. Sometimes the colour on these lamps is a little dull, but this is a particularly nice example of this lamp, with very clear, bright colours. Has a marble-like design in shimmering shades of silver & pink. This unusual glass technique features beautiful swirling patterns with small gemstone-like areas, probably created using air bubbles. Troll (Trold in Danish) lamp, designed by Sidse Werner in 1975. Handmade by Holmegaard in collaboration with Royal Copenhagen. Made by Holmegaard on the Danish island of Funen between 1975 & 1984. Has a small sticker on the side saying 'Danish lead crystal' & another in the base with manufacturer's details. Approximately 25cm high, including the lamp holder, & 14cm wide. Excellent re-wired, fully working vintage condition with only minor signs of age. The brass fitting has a little patina. Sidse Werner was a Danish architect & industrial designer, probably best known for her 1971 Coat Tree design for Fritz Hansen. She died in 1989. The lamp will be rewired with new cable with a switch on it & the international plug of your choice. We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or North American plug. It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. See FAQs for full details.
