I weave wall hangings & rugs to commission. You tell me what size & send me colour swatches & information about where it is to be used. I then draw a design & show you before starting to weave. The pictures show some of the rugs I have made - sometimes for specific customers & sometimes for exhibitions. The price will vary considerably depending on size, method of hanging & whether the colours wanted are commercially available or I have to dye the yarn myself. in each case I would provide a fixed price, including postage, when sending the design for approval. I would then require a 33% (one third) deposit to be paid before starting work. As a guideline, for a hanging around 35 inches wide by 64 inches long, using commercially dyed yarn, a price of around 350 (GBP). This would include postage & packing within the UK. The maximum width I can weave is 52 inches. The yarn used is commercial woollen carpet yarn, which often contains up to 20% nylon & is very hard-wearing. Colourful Wool Rugs Hand Woven To Commission
