This is a handmade & hand painted Christmas candle holder. This is a traditional Scandinavian Jultrd.This is in keeping with a very old Swedish tradition of a Jultrad, (or Christmas tree). It has been hand carved, hand crafted & hand painted by Swedish folk artists & is a most grand & fabulous candleholder, especially meant for Christmas Eve. You will see traditional elements in this candleholder which have been included in every Jultrad made even hundreds of years ago, usually made by someone in the family & treasured by generations. It has dala horses, birds, rooster, which means new day & new beginning,. Apples & leaves were always traditional & if you wish to use real ones, they could be used in place of these. Apples & oranges were special gifts to children in past Christmases in Sweden,there is also space to hang small ornaments, Christmas cookies or other delicacies. Including candles.
