This lovely antique 1920s Japanese export silky rayon robe is in a rare & beautiful pale blue colour with soft complementary highlight colours including pale orange, pale green & white. It is a classic of its type, having a detailed design of flowers & Mount Fuji in a landscape. There are no ties, so this robe is designed to be worn open. This is a free sized garment so will fit a variety of sizes. When laid flat, the length is approximately 40.5 inches measured from the top of the neck band to the bottom of the neck & from underarm to underarm across is approximately 25 inches. The condition is good overall, this beautiful robe presents well overall. The colours are fresh & bright, please see all the photos & zoom in for details. The main condition point to note is that when the robe is held up against a window in a strong natural light, you can see some surface fraying/thinning to the rayon at the back & sides of the robe from about three quarters of the way down. It is priced accordingly. When the robe is viewed in normal light this blends in quite well with the overall pattern. You can see this in the close up photos in the listing & please zoom in to see in more detail, further photos showing the robe inside out & held up to natural light are available on request. Therefore, bearing this in mind, this robe should be worn with care to prevent the fraying/thinning in these areas from developing any further.
