Description
This cast iron cauldron has a triple goddess design on both sides & a metal handle. Cauldrons are great to use as an incense holder, Palo Santo holder, smudge burner, candle holder or to use in your rituals. Each black cauldron is approximately 5 wide including the loops for the handles & stands 4 3/4 high with the lid. The bowl of the cauldron is 4.25 wide. This item is handcrafted out of cast iron. It will have imperfections & each one will vary. Please allow for these variations. Do not use for food or drink. When burning incense, resins, or smudge sticks, take the same precautions as you would burning in an abalone shell or another heatproof vessel. Place a charcoal disc with the indented side up on top of sand or salt. Break the charcoal in half or quarters if you only want to burn a small bit at a time. Light the charcoal in the dish or use tongs to light it. You will see tiny sparks as it starts to burn. Wait about 5 minutes until the disc is red hot with grey ash over it. When ready, sprinkle about 1/4 tsp of resin, herbs, & incense directly on top. Add more when the incense has burned. When burning your incense, please be sure to place your vessel on a heatproof surface. It gets very hot! A disc will continue to burn for about 30-40 minutes. Do not light charcoal while it is in your hand. Never leave it burning unattended. Open a door or window. It will be smoky. Always make sure it is completely out when you are done.
