8oz ceramic bowl with hand-carved Runic inscription in 1955, a fire destroyed a large part of the town Bryggen, Norway. Excavations led archeologists to discover over 550 items with runic inscriptions dating back to 1150-1350AD. During this era, it was said that men would carve love messages or poems into sticks & drop them along the laps of the women they had interest in. Among the items found, a stick with the runic inscription translating to: Mun mik, man ek ik. Unn mr, ann ek r. Translating into English: 'Remember me, I remember you. Love me, I love you'.
