This mini sign is handmade from recycled Belfast wooden pallets. We collect, dismantle & upcycle the pallets ourselves & each sign is then engraved using a laser cutter for a deep, rustic effect. Each sign is made to order & can be customised in colour & size. (prices vary) The signs are carefully handcrafted in a wee home workshop, where it goes through the ancient Japanese process of Shou Sugi Ban, an 18th century tradition of torching wood to preserve it whilst also highlighting the woodgrain in a way that other finishes cannot. The frames vary depending on availability as they are sustainably sourced from a local sawmill. They are made from upcycled oak sleepers, cedar, cypress, ash, oak, maple, pine. These wooden signs look beautiful on any wall & can be customised to add a hint of your own colour choice. Equally, they would also make excellent outdoor garden or BBQ area signs as they are completely weather & waterproof. The signs can be customised to suit your colour scheme & come in a range of larger sizes. This collection pays homage to our very own Northern Irish slang & are meant as a bit of light-hearted 'banter'. All of the wood for our signs & frames have been used in another way before. We design every sign, assemble, paint & distress by hand. We use reclaimed/repurposed wood, which means each piece is unique thanks to the imperfections such as nail holes, dings, knots. We make no attempt to hide or cover these as this is what makes our signs unique & perfectly imperfect. Even with imperfections we can create something beautiful. They look stunning on the walls of your home or really do make that perfect special unique gift.
