A gothic style lady stood alone under the flickering streetlights, her long black dress billowing in the wind. She held a black umbrella aloft, the only protection against the driving rain that pounded the pavement. As she walked, the lady seemed to exude an otherworldly presence. There was an air of mystery about her, as if she were not entirely of this world. She moved with a grace & poise that seemed almost unnatural, her feet barely touching the ground as she glided through the rain. No one knew who the lady was or where she had come from. Some said she was a ghost, haunting the streets in search of some forgotten purpose. Others claimed she was a witch, using the cover of the storm to work her dark magic. But the lady paid no heed to the whispers & rumors that followed in her wake. She simply walked on, her umbrella held steady against the rain. As the night wore on, the lady came upon a small park, its trees & bushes bent low under the weight of the storm. She paused for a moment, considering whether to take shelter under one of the trees. But just as she was about to move, she heard a faint cry for help. The lady turned towards the sound & saw a figure huddled under a bench, shivering & soaked to the bone. Without a moment's hesitation, the lady made her way over to the bench & held out her umbrella, offering the stranger shelter from the rain. The stranger looked up at the lady in gratitude, & the two of them huddled together under the umbrella, sharing its meager protection against the storm.
