Maimana chobi or Veg Dyed kilims are woven by Uzbek people in the town of Maimana & the nearby villages. Maimana Kilims are based on traditional patterns of the original Maimana Kilim. These are still being woven using vegetable dyed yarns hence the name Veg dyed or Chobi Kilim. (Chobi in Dari Language translates as wood or Nature).
