Description
An old pine box or trunk with carry handles to the sides. To be honest we toyed with the idea of stripping this one, but when it came to it we felt we had to preserve its history, its story, so it's had a simple clean to ensure its hone ready. This looks to be late Victorian from its construction but has been painted in a black gloss at some point later. The initials AMB are painted on the lid in red. We are not sure of its history, possibly military or maybe a tool box but the inside is very clean for that. It would now make useful storage, a blanket box, toy box or a coffee table. The lock is in situ but the key has been lost in time, the paint is faded & chippy but this adds to its charm! Treated for woodworm as a precaution as are all our vintage pieces.
