The design of these pieces is inspired by iconic mid century plywood & hairpin leg furniture. The 356 Open Range is handmade in the North West of the UK using sturdy, high grade FSC certified plywood. Ply is often more durable & less likely to warp than solid wood as well as being much more affordable. Our plywood furniture is also quickly becoming the first choice to complement contemporary interiors due to its natural pale light grained finish. This range has a practical & contemporary open shelf which is ideal storage space for laptops, iPads, mobile phones, newspapers, magazines & books. The wood has been finished with two layers of light oil which retains the 'raw', light characteristics of untreated wood. The end result is a smooth, beautiful finish with nearly-invisible protection. It dries to a clear matt finish & keeps light interior wood looking light. Liquids will run off it & most things will not be able to stain it due to the protective layer. It provides a tough, durable finish & is scratch & scuff-resistant. The sleek, strong metal powder coated rust resistant hairpin legs, in black, are the ideal choice in adding to the simple clean lines of this collection. The legs come with matching colour clip on rubber floor protector feet. The easy to screw in legs will arrive with screws, all that is needed is a standard sized cross head screwdriver to screw the legs into holes which are pre drilled.
