Thanks as always R&R xx Set of six hand painted dessert/fruit/cereal bowls Dramatic design in bright orange, black & green abstract florals befitting of the era Dating from c1930s produced by Swinnertons, Stoke-on-Trent Marked Ivory England All in good vintage condition ready to use or display! Why I think you'll love them: A superbly designed set of 6 Art Deco dessert/fruit bowls. Each featuring a dramatic hand-painted pattern, in black, green & orange with florals & striking tree shaped motif. Perfect for everyday use or for display! Good to know: 'Hampton Ivory' was a trade name used by Swinnertons, with this backstamp dating c1930-46. Condition: Good solid vintage condition though showing signs of wear inline with age. Some surface crazing, the odd utensil mark & rub to their paint & in places one slightly more than the rest at its edges. Two dishes have one small chip each to their underside near the rim, these cannot be seen in 'use' only when upturned, & are historic & non problamatic. (Please see images 9-10 for clarity).
