Description
This style is influenced by swimming while the red maple leaves floated on & in the water. I threw this bowl on my potter's wheel from a speckled tan stoneware clay. I impressed actual maple leaves into the leatherhard clay. After bisquefiring I handpainted the leaves with coloured slips to replicate the actual leaves. It is glazed in blue glazes.
