A wonderful sandy brown & turquoise blue Maltese glass bud vase, by Mdina, in the 'Tiger' pattern, which was introduced in the mid 1970's by Eric Dobson. Deep colours are delivered in this lovely, little gem from Malta Island, don't miss it in your collection! Mdina Glass manufacture based in Malta was founded in 1968 by Michael Harris & Eric Dobson. The father & son team of Vincente & Ettore Boffo joined Mdina Glass to introduce Italian glassmaking techniques. Over the years the Maltese glass factory has always been influenced by glassmakers with a passion for craftsmanship who have introduced superior quality materials, fusion techniques, further expanding the company's range & won many awards. Today vintage blown glass art signed by Mdina is very desirable for collectors & each single piece simply evokes the beautiful & exotic landscape of Malta island.
