This is a rare pair of 18th-century (1792) English Georgian very large silver antique table/dinner knives. Sterling silver handles & steel blades. The handles in octagonal form, they are fully hallmarked on both sides with Sheffield Sterling hallmarks & maker's marks R.T. The blades are original antiques of the same period, high carbon steel, stamped PRESTON. They are free from monograms, each with a lovely dog crest. 4 pairs available. This listing is for 1 pair (2 knives). HALLMARKS: Sheffield, SILVER fineness 925. MAKER Robert Trickett & Co DATE: 1792 DIMENSION: Length: 28.3cm (11 1/8"). approx.
