Our Fleece jumper is loved by whippets & their owners worldwide. It will keep your whippet happy & warm, giving plenty of comfort whether walking or running around. It will keep your dog dry if caught in a shower, & protect tummies from some splash back when it's muddy - you can throw it in the wash on a short 30 degree cycle & have it dry in time for the next walk! Both George & Winnie love to run around getting wet & muddy, enjoying a roll in piles of smelly stuff, & their fleece jumpers are the most used items in the wardrobe! Better to have the mud on the jumper than the dog! Available in 5 sizes, Italian Greyhound, Whippet - small, smedium, medium & large, it is designed to fit the shape of their bodies, with an under panel that has an elasticated facing so that it can be stretched to go over their deep chests but then fits snugly into their slim tummies, avoiding any nasty chills getting in! The long polo neck, when folded back is super thick to keep long slender necks cosy. When unfolded there is plenty to pull over cold ears! Our Whippet fleece jumpers are available in so many colours that we have now split them into 3 categories for you - Brights, Darks & Lights. All sighthound clothing companies will vary from each other, but this is our whippet size guide: ITALIAN GREYHOUND - Chest 17-19in (43-48cm), Length 14-16in (35-40cm), Weight 5-7kg (11-15lbs) SMALL - Chest 20-21in (50-53cm), Length 17-19in (43-48cm), Weight 8-10kg (17-22lbs) SMEDIUM - Chest 22-24in (55-61cm), Length 20-21in (50-53cm), Weight 11-12kg (24-26lbs) MEDIUM - Chest 24-26in (61-66cm), Length 22-24in (55-61cm), Weight 13-15kg (28-33lbs) LARGE - Chest 26-28in (66-71cm), Length 24-26in (61-66cm), Weight 15-18kg (33-39lbs) ExTRA LARGE - Chest 28-30in (71-76cm), Length 26-28in (66-71cm), Weight 18-20kg (39-44lbs) The Italian Greyhound size is great for pure bred Iggy's & puppies Small is good for puppy whippets or those crossed with Italian Greyhounds Smedium is good for a medium size who have slim chests Medium is good for most medium sized whippets who have deep chests Large is good for larger whippets, & small lurchers Extra Large is good for whippet cross breeds, maybe whippet/saluki, or small galgos / greyhounds. & remember, the fabric has a good amount of stretch in it, so this is a guide to sizing. Being a close fitting item it can be a little fiddly to put on - depending how wriggly your hound is! We advise putting the head into the funnel neck, lifting in one leg, then get your hand inside from the back to stretch out the elastic to ease the second leg in, roll it along the chest & into the tummy. To take off pull the jumper up to behind the front legs, pull off over the head & your dog will step out if the leg holes. Washable on a Wool Cycle at 30 degrees. Please note
