Vintage Putz sheep or antique wool sheep. These Christmas Nativity sheep are highly collectible. Putz sheep were made around the beginning of the 1900s in Erzgebirge in Germany. They were used at Easter or as Christmas decoration as part of a nativity scene. They are so cute in a display with other decorative items like bottle brush trees for example. They are made with wood, wool & plaster & have a ribbon around the neck. The faces are hand painted so not two are exactly the same. The price is for one sheep! They each measures app.: Small red: 2 inches / 5 cm in length 2 inches / 5 cm in height Big red: 2 1/2 inches / 6 cm in length 2 1/4 inches / 5,5 cm in height Big blue: 2 1/4 inches / 5,5 cm in length 2 1/2 inches / 6 cm in height Small blue: 1 3/4 inches/ 4,5 cm in length 2 inches/ 5 cm in height They are in good vintage condition with lovely wear.
