This here is a wonderful, & interesting Antique or Vintage Porcelain Bowl & Saucer by Z S & Co. interesting here are the two handles on the bowl. I'm curious as to the type or intended purpose of the bowl. Z S & Co, or Zeh, Scherzer & Co, Bavaria we're in production from 1880 until the 1990s. If my recourses are accurate, the mark dates these pieces to within 1880-1918. Both feature a lovely rose pattern. The bowl doesn't quite set perfectly on the saucer, so I don't think that was the intention. I think they are just both part of a once larger set. The bowl measures appr 2 3/4 height at handles, 2 height to rim, 5 3/8 across at handles, appr 5 across at top rim with an appr 4 base rim diameter while the plate measures appr 6 diameter. Both are in very good condition showing only very minor wear from age & handling. Impressive for century old porcelain. Minor surface wear is seen with some light wear to the pattern & gold trim in spots. There are some manufacturing surface imperfections in spots to the bowl, examples of which I've shown in photos. There is one spot to the bottom edge rim of the plate, which is visible in photos, that I'm not sure if it's a small chip or a manufacturing imperfection. I'm leaning towards imperfection. Marks on bottom, all as can be seen in photos. Please examine photos closely to properly determine condition.
