This very delicately designed Christmas tree ornament was handmade in a small pewter moulding company with a history dating back three conturies. It still goes by the name of Babette Schweizer, who ran the company until the late 1890s. The company is located in Bavaria, Germany, specifically in Diessen on Lake Ammersee. This piece was made in the 60s or 70s & today is very hard to find. This small work of art was designed so that it reflects the lights on the Christmas tree & even seems to take on colors itself. It is pure silver-colored pewter & is on a blue silk ribbon. The diameter is 2.16 (5.5 cm). The depth is 1.57 (4 cm). It is in excellent condition.
