Organic Cotton Duvet Covers & Pillowcases - Blue Butti design hand block printed on organic cotton. Single Duvet Cover 135cm x 198cm (54 x 78) Double Duvet Cover 198cm x 198cm (78 x 78) King Duvet Cover 218cm x 223cm (86 x 88) Super King Duvet Cover (86 x 102) Pillowcases 22' x 32. Pillowcases are available to by separately on the drop down menu (they come as single pieces). The duvet covers have a zip fastening, the pillowcases are 'oxford' style. We switched to pigment dyes around 4 years ago as they do not contain the heavy metals in the usual block printing dyes & use about a fifth of the amount of water during the process. They also do not need battery acid to complete the dying process. Pigment dyes are applied using a binder, & sometimes this leaves a residue smell on the cotton not unlike kerosene. This disappears after the first wash. Our tiny workshop in Rajasthan has been producing duvet covers & pillowcases for us for over 25 years. Ten years ago we started searching out organically grown cotton & now all the bed & table linen is made from certified organic cotton. All sizes are approximate. Our cotton block prints can be washed at 30 C in the machine, alone at first. Thereafter at 40 C. Fading will occur in sunlight but the cotton just gets softer & softer as the years go on...
