This is a rag rug handwoven with light blue cotton t-shirts that have been cut into strips by hand, joined, & laid into the weaving loom. I also used dark denim-colored, cotton socks. It's woven with a two-shuttle method which produces the every-other stripe pattern. The strips are packed tightly with a weighted beater for a strong durable rug with straight edges. The warp is a super-strong, poly/cotton in a rainbow of colors. This is a thick, absorbent rug that feels great under bare feet! It is quite textured. This rug measures 21 inches wide by 40 inches long. The ends are finished with triple-rolled hems. No fringe to worry about here! This is a wash-and-wear rug! Both sides are the same & fully usable. This rag rug can be vacuumed with suction only. If your washing machine is large, it can be washed & dried. Care instructions will be included with the purchase. This pretty, handwoven, rag rug is made on my vintage Emma Loom in the traditional tabby weave. It is a one-of-a-kind rag rug.
