At Ragnarok designs all of our furniture is designed, engineered & built to last a lifetime. This industrial style extending table features steel Trapezium legs & is perfect for having the flexibility to change to increase the table size for entertaining by inserting the 60cm extension quickly & easily. Matching benches with the trapezium legs & also our signature handmade chairs are also available to complete your dining set. The Trapezium shaped legs are made in 2mm thick 50x25 mm box section steel & are fully welded & finished in a durable clear lacquer. All of our table legs feature extra wide fixing plates which are secured using inserts & bolts providing a mechanical & robust fixing method. This ensures that the table more stable & robust than just using screws & any assembly is quick & easy. The extension mechanisms used are a premium quality & all the pieces of the table locate & lock together with a simple but effective pin mechanism. The solid wood tops are 35mm thick & are sanded to 240 grit whilst leaving all of the natural & industrial character, making each top unique. The wood is then finished with a premium quality furniture wax which stains & protects the wood. A wide variety of colours are available. The spacing of the legs maximises the seating space along the sides of the table & is 20cm shorter than the unextended table length. If you require a matching bench you need to order a bench which is 20cm shorter than the unextended table length if you want to store the bench under the table when not in use. For example, for a 120-180cm table a 100cm bench is recommended. All of our tables are fully assembled in our workshop as part of our final QC check. All parts are then colour coded before dismantling for shipping, to enable a quick & intuitive assembly. With the insert & bolt method all you need to do is line up the components, insert the bolts & tighten with a 10mm spanner.
