Antique early-20th Century English glass & mahogany shop display cabinet with brass edges on a wooden stand. A small counter top display cabinet is later sign written for the famous Hardy Brothers angling specialists with rear access & two glass shelves, ideal for a small collection of fishing paraphernalia. in 1872, William Hardy opened his Gunsmith, Whitesmith & Cutlers store in Alnwick, Northumberland. His brother, John James, joined the business soon after, & they diversified to Angling Supplies. The Company of Hardy Brothers Ltd opened several stores, including one in Pall Mall. By 1932 they were given a Royal Appointment to King George V. CONDITION in Great Condition - wear as expected.
