This beautiful, lightweight wooden ornament is handmade out of real wood with a simple design of a deer in a forest landscape with a pine tree on one side, artist designed through wood burning or pyrography. The ornament includes a rustic twine cord to hang the ornament. The size of the ornament is approx. 2 x 1 7/8. My artwork first starts out as an idea or illustration sketched out with pencil on paper. The design is then permanently burned onto the wood with a pyrography or woodburning tool (on one side of the ornament). Finally, the ornament is varnished to protect the design & wood. Creating this handmade piece of art has been a labor of love & I hope that shines through! My designs are simple & minimalist. Since each ornament is handmade, each one is unique & one-of-a-kind. This ornament would make a perfect gift for the nature lover who enjoys hiking, wildlife & spending time in the outdoors! Also perfect as a housewarming gift for the family who just bought a new home or cabin in the woods! I'm also offering a 3.5 x 5 burlap gift bag as an option if you choose to give this ornament as a gift (please see the gift bag in the pictures). What makes this ornament special? No tree was cut down to create this ornament! The ornament was not factory made but artist designed & created from a tree branch that had fallen down. Our family cares about the environment! Please note: Since this ornament is made out of natural materials, some irregularities can occur (such as in the wood grain, bark, bark chips, etc.) Also, please take care not to expose your ornament to water. My story: I was born in the Netherlands but have lived in the Pacific Northwest for many years. While I love my flat birth country, I have come to greatly appreciate living close to these majestic mountains who inspire me & keep me humble. I get beyond excited about seeing wildlife & yes, my family takes pictures of squirrels when they come visit me from abroad.
