Epstein furniture was originally founded in East London by Polish immigrants in the 1890s. The firm passed to brothers Harry & Lou Epstein & the pair turned their attention to the production of Art Deco forms from the 1930s until the 1950s.Finished to high standards, most pieces were custom-made. This stunning piece seems to be one of a kind specially made, with a heavy marble top ( some slight marks) on a sturdy solid base with porcelain inserts gold gilt detailing on froize in the style of Louis XVI revival It reallly is even better in the flesh, so spectacular & grand even though it’s just a small occasional table.
