Matcha Tea Bowl Would make a lovely Father's Day Gift A Matcha tea bowl is a lovely way to serve your morning cup of matcha. Wrap your hands around the sides while warm & enjoy a comforting drink. in a Japanese tea ceremony, matcha tea is prepared in bowls like this one & served to guests in a graceful, carefully choreographed ritual. These matcha tea bowls are just the right size for conducting a tea ceremony for one or two guests. For a truly authentic experience, conduct your tea ceremony with a matcha tea whisk to perfectly froth your tea. Each bowl has been high fired (1200 degrees Celsius) so it is fully vitrified & waterproof. Each bowl (sold separately) is available in the following beautiful glazes: Amber & Blue over Matte Black - a beautiful glaze combination which has dripped during the kiln firing. The several glazes used run & flow over each other in the kiln creating a unique & individual decoration. Lustrous Green - a beautiful slightly opaque pale green with a lustrous blue/green float. Rust & Jade - glazed inside & down to half of the outside of the bowl in a rusty orange with a float of blue & jade green. The several glazes used run & flow over each other in the kiln creating a unique & individual decoration. Aztec Brown - a warm brown with an aztec glaze resist pattern around the outside of the bowl. Images & video show actual item/s available. All items will be similar but not identical, due to the nature of handmade. Wheel-thrown with love in my cosy Wiltshire (UK) studio. Made from white stoneware clay & glazed in food safe glazes. Glazes are brushed on in several layers to create the depth of colour you see. Twice fired upto 1200oC in my electric kiln. Dishwasher, microwave, oven safe, however to retain its ravishing good looks I recommend washing by hand!
