PERFECTLY FLAWED FABRIC: These beautiful pillow are made from a textile that was hand-loomed & batiked with natural indigo by the women of the Hmong Hill Tribe, a Chinese ethnic minority group living in the mountainous regions of Southeast Asia. Please Note: The variations in weave & dye are a natural characteristic of traditionally hand-crafted, antique/vintage batik textiles. The patina of age & wear, such as patches of faded areas, tears, holes, stains or spots, all attest to its age & useful utilitarian past-life. This wabi-sabi characteristic serves to enhance its great beauty & unique soulfulness. We do suggest adding your own contribution to the life of your pillow by making your own repairs with sashiko stitches & fabric patches. The pillows shown are examples & yours will look similar. The front of the cover is the antique Chinese batik textile, pattern placement will vary. The reverse side is an unbleached natural 100% linen. The cover is double-stitched, seams overlocked, stress points reinforced, & finished with an invisible zipper for easy care.
